Nothing like the mission field

We are already seeing the blessings of the mission field.  This photo was taken the night of the missionaries surprise birthday party.  On our way home Sydney asked the question, "What makes our church different from the rest?"  It gave me a great opportunity to teach my kids about the restoration of the gospel.  I can't help help but be thankful that my children are searching for truth.  I am glad that they are asking questions at such a young age.  I don't think that I asked those questions until I was in college.

Watch out Ok. Here come the Wilson's

I don't know if our neighbors knew what had arrived when the Wilson's came into the neighborhood.  We couldn't have chose a better place.  Susan welcomed us with warm potatoe soup and offered to take the kids for a walk with her dogs.  The kids fell in love with "Grandma Tammy" the minute she pulled up on her golf cart.  She has a special place in my heart.  She has become the mom and grandma away from home.  She has been open arms and I know that Heavenly Father sent us here so that we could meet and become special friends.  We are surrounded by such great people.  I was a little nervous because we loved our neighbors and friends in South Jordan and I was so worried about what it would be like when I left the comforts of Utah. But the Lord continues to bless us.  Sydney who is our little nervous girl said, "Mom I just feel safe here."  Little does she know what we are in for with Tornado season. I am sure that will be a later post.

Follow your Heart...

Just when we thought that we were getting settled in South Jordan, Utah Father in Heaven opened up a new oppurtunity for our family.  Shannon recieved a phone call for a job oppurtunity in Grove, Oklahoma.  This was not something that we were seeking at this time. We were Happy and Comfortable. He felt that he should just see what this company had to offer and after being flown out and visiting he felt excited about the oppurtunites for his career.  As I was praying for him during the time he was away I knew that our little family would need to get ready for the journey.  After lots of prayers we knew that we needed to Follow our hearts, trust in our Father in Heaven and leave the comforts of family and friends.  Sometimes we do not understand the "whys" but we have to trust and do it and wait and see.  Shannon and I have always been blessed as we have relied on our Heavenly Father and followed our hearts.  How thankful I am for the knowledge that we are not alone.
