This last week we got a call of a sweet little widow in our ward. She asked if she could pay some of our kids to pull some weeds around her rose bushes. I told her they would love to do it and that it wasn't necessary to pay them. The kids were so good about this. It took us 3 mornings in a row. I love the feelings that come and the difference it makes on all of us when we serve. To hear this sweet sister say "now I will be able to sleep", made it worth it. Her son was there one of the mornings and took a minute to teach my kids. He told them that there will be a time when they will need Father in Heavens help and He will be there to bless them because of what they were doing for this little grandma. I loved watching my kids work with smiles. I don't see this very often at home:)
Thank you Sister Bibee for asking us!
Brynlee boo loves treats. She found this recipe for chocolate dipped bananas and she wanted to make them. We all loved them.
Way to go Brynlee Boo!
Our friends the McMurdies from Arizona were coming out to see us before heading to their family reunion. We haven't seen them for over 3 years. The kids anxiously waited and waited...
Sofie and Zach were just babies and now look at them:(
sniff sniff... They are all growed up!!!
The kids hit it off as if they had just been together yesterday. When they packed up to leave Preston just cried and cried. He LOVES being with all these boys. Especially Joshie. They look like they could be twins. They are coming back through on their way back home and we plan to hike and go to church with them. Always fun to see old friends.
BOY- have we had a fun summer of it:)
